Clean out your closet for a good cause!!!

The Fairy Godmother Project of Music City began in 2010 as a grass-roots organization to assist students in the Nashville area who are unable to purchase their own prom attire.  We are proud to announce that the 2^nd Annual Boutique Day will be held at the Northwest YMCA of Middle Tennessee on March 26, 2011 from 9am to 3pm.  The YMCA of Middle Tennessee has a rich history of assisting those in the community and we are thrilled to be partnered with them for this project.

As we enter our second year, we hope to continue to grow this project through the support of community members, religious organizations, and businesses who can donate their time and resources by cleaning out their closets, spearheading dress drives, being a donation drop-off location, and assisting students at our annual boutique day.

Please contact us if you or your business is interested in making a donation or volunteering.  Below is a list of our immediate needs:

 Donations Needed:

• Short and Long Formal Gowns
• Formal shoes
• Formal purses
• Make-up & Jewelry
• Shawls & wraps
• Decorative hair pieces and hair products
• Garment Bags for day of event to give the girls
• Dress Racks & Forms & Size Tags
• Goody Bag items (gift certificates, coupon, etc.)
• Door Mirrors ($5 at wal-mart) & hand-held mirrors for day of event

 The Fairy Godmother Project of Music City Donation Guidelines:

• Dresses should be fewer than 5 years old
• Dresses and shoes should be cleaned prior to sending
• Dresses and shoes should be in good condition
• Dresses can be long or short in length
• For health and safety reasons, makeup, perfume, and lotion must be unused
• Formal jewelry and purses
• Shawls & wraps must be in good condition
